We are Jelmer and Yorick, two guys from Amsterdam with a great passion for analogue photography. What started as a hobby and the search for special vintage cameras, quickly grew into Shutter Island.

We believe that shooting on film is something special. Every photo counts, every roll tells a story, and that's what makes analogue photography so much fun. That's why we're constantly on the lookout for beautiful cameras that deserve a second life. Each camera is carefully tested, cleaned, and repaired where necessary, so you can start using it right away.

Our vision

We believe that analog photography should be accessible to everyone. In recent years, film cameras have become increasingly expensive, making it difficult for many people to start with analog photography or purchase a new camera.

The price of our cameras is based on the work involved. We invest time and money in carefully sourcing cameras, thoroughly testing, cleaning, and, where necessary, repairing them. This ensures you receive a camera that is ready for years of enjoyment.

Our goal is not to maximize profit, but to keep analog photography accessible. Because the more people shoot on film, the better we can keep that medium alive.
